NEI is a project development company in Ukraine focusing on alternative energy projects. Our customers are interested to explore the economics and feasibility of producing urea or NH3 using green energy resources already being developed at their sugar mills. We are looking for an engineering / equipment supplier who will work with us to develop this novel concept.
We are currently working with two sugar mills that process sugar beets and are building anaerobic digesters to process their tailings and sugar beet pulp to produce biogas. Also we are installing straw fired boiler systems and condensing turbines at these plants.
The sugar processing season is only 110 days so the proposed urea production would work the rest of the year.
Biogas from the digesters is made up of about 60% CH4, we will create about 75,000mt of this biogas annually.
We will have an excess 16 to 25 mwe (depending on the plant) outside of sugar beet processing season.
I would greatly appreciate your thoughts regarding this concept.
