Voting for good answers

08/24/2009 9:42 PM

I think I've been on double secret probation long enough.

A year or so ago I was helping another member slap down some HHO guys by repudiating their anti science views by marking their nonsense as off topic [which it is!], ever since I can only vote 2 times per day.

On mondays especially there is lots of wheat to separate from the chaff.

I can understand why there are automatic controls in place. I didn't violate the spirit or intent of the system.

I don't see any explicit rules against having or expressing my opinion of the information contained in posts, by voting a good answer or off topic.

Admin. giveth; and Admin. taketh away. We can't help you, only they can.

Good Luck!

????

Was the limitation something that went into effect automatically or did Admin's do it? It would be interesting if you gave the date of the posting so we might better understand what "helping another member slap down" was.

"It would be interesting if you gave", your identity, " so we might better understand", why you have a desire to participate in this particular discussion. But, your comments are welcome, anyway.

I can't really give more context

Mcgaulin & Leonard may remember...

From what I remember at the time & it was late at night, I had voted around 10 time in a very short amount of time. My impression was it happened automatically.

No input from administration as yet.

You need to run on the "Hope & Change" platform. Off topic can be a tough call , Especially WHEN dealing with brilliant people......... and Morons

Come on now. Don't you read? Don't you see what is being done in in some of the eastern world countries?

Create a cheap knock off clone of yourself.

Try Garthhh. Garrth. Gaarthh. Use your imagination.

Has world trade taught you anything?

Actually I use the 1st one some other places.

I would lean more towards the evil twin, maybe a cat or squirrell

Possible limitation cookie driven. Cleanup and re-log-in

Makes no difference

I've restored this computer back to factory settings, logged in on different machines & networks, changed passwords & deleted my cache, temp files, cookies.

I did these things in the normal course of events.

I made a public plea, just to see what would happen.

Try setting up an offshore bank account for the administrators. It seems to work for some of the Fla. politicians.
