Making a Digital Keypad / LCD Screeen Wireless

My Brother is hacking a personal cnc ( Carvewright) machine and wants to make the digital keypad LCd interface work via wireless remote. This would preferably connect like a wireless printer. What is the "simplest" approach to this not so simple problem?
