Animated .gifs not moving

I've recently noticed that animated gif images I post don't seem to work any more. For example, I've used these animated smilies in the past:

and ,

... but they no longer move in these posts . They still work fine if I drop them into IE8.

Is the a CR4 thing? XP thing? IE8 thing? Can anyone else see these smilies moving?

I thought for a second there that one of the beer mugs was going empty, but guess not.

Nope, no movement.

Yep - all my GIF's have been disabled for some time now on CR4 - it's the site settings I bet - using up too much bandwidth??

I see a lot of things moving that really aren't,but my sanity has been in question for some time now.
