the answers to my question about new rail car design

09/06/2009 9:38 AM

; the slower the faster

Dear all- last week I asked you about "Design a rail car"

I got many answers , some of them were joking [It was fun!], some skeptic, and few answered me in a relevant way.

The last one recommended to google for "personal rapid transit"- and really I found- I guess all you experienced this already in past: I thought that there were some people that had similar ideas to mine. but I didn't put the relevant words as I googled!

People around the globe were for decades thinking, and defining the properties the same as I did.

Some of their ideas are similar to mine, some very different.

But it gave me a feeling to be in a community of people who are looking to solve some real social problems with an open mind. I consider this traffic problems as social!

And I became convinced that the slower- the faster!

The slower the car will move, it will be easier to overcome the obstacles of the municipal authorities for safety etc

My proposal is an upper traffic lane.

I took into consideration subject as that the residers which their homes will be too close to the proposed transit lane must be compensated!

I found an innovative way to lift many passengers to the lane's hight, in a way which supposed to be much cheaper than mechanical moving stairway, and cheaper than an escalator

My innovative ideas include an innovative approach for the car that will enable it to be much lighter than existing cars, and the innovative escalator that will enable to lift and latter to take down all the passengers.

Now I hope that there will be some people/companies that will be interested in

The subject, and contact me willing to learn more about my ideas.

"upper traffic lane" has already been done. Better innovate some more.

If the idea is to minimize fossil fuel consumption and reduce the number of private vehicles on the road, can something like this help?

Better and smaller bicycles and a user friendly chek-out and check-in of bicycles using RFID or some such may be useful.
