Please turn your 'Caps Lock' off.

Different universities in different countries have many different ways of going about setting up final year projects, and project scope and assistance levels vary quite a bit making it very hard to offer any specific or useful advice without more information on your specific course and university.

Have you talked with your lecturers first? They should be able to offer you advice specific to your course, or at the very least tell you which 4th year lecturers to talk to.

He did for a moment (4th) but then he started yelling again. Why do they do it. Is it an attempt to make every thing very important? I just don't get it and it has been said again and again, Ky.

Every Fall, the same question.

In most undergraduate Engineering programs the professors of the department will have a list of projects the Senior students can pick from to do their Senior Project. These projects will be in the suggesting professor's field, possibly a part of their research work and of enough difficulty to challenge but should not overwhelm the Senior students academic capability or budget. But most schools will not limit a student to only these topics, a student can propose his/her own project to a professor. I highly recommend that you do your own research into the feasibility of doing your project first. For you will have to approach one of your professors to be your adviser for the project and convince them that you and any team mates you have will be able to complete your project on time and under budget. You will have to have all of the ideas, methodology and projected budget at your mental fingertips when you propose your project. The professor will not be interested in putting his/her name on a trivial or an overly ambitious project doomed from the start. Doing all of the research up front will also help to show that you can support yourself when difficulties occur.

So dig in and come up with some good ideas.

Project work as a part of academic works aims to develop the creative skills of a student. It depends upon your interest and innovative ideas. You may have to study few elective subjects as a part of your academic works and that subject will also help you to choose your project title. You need not get panic in third year itself. If you are good in simulation use software's like TRANSYS etc to simulate mechanical equipment and do your project. You should also consult your Project tutor. He, generally, has list projects as a part of academic works for final year students. Good scope for environmental related projects. All the Best.
