Water Wells and Flowlines

09/15/2009 6:49 AM

I prepare scope of work for tie-in of new water wells , and i suggest to use Ductile-iron pipe with Cement -Mortar Lining for flow line . but the user department said why can't use PVC PIPES in lieu of -ductile iron pipes.

In deep wells the water have a lot of organic and chemical. this kind of chemical will attack with iron then the corrosion occur. in PVC pipe shall be concern for UV direct.
