Oil changing of Honda generator.

09/22/2009 10:23 PM

Dears,

I have purchased an old Honda generator 220V 5KVA for domestic use. I don't have any service manual for this gen. I want to know after how much service hours should we change its engine oil? I think, mostly oil changing period equal for small generators up to 10KVA.

I have some Hondas that are 3500, and 5000 watt models. If there is anything you want from any of the manuals, I should be able to help. Let me know. Good luck.

I have about 300 pages of manuals for the Honda generators. This site will allow you to download any of there manuals to your computer for free.

After reading the literature, I could not understand that some generators need to change the oil after 100hours and some after 300hours.

Can someone explain? I am sorry I am a basic learner.

Some generator manufacturers get good deals from the companies that sell them oil. Others don't. Also look at their warranties .................Ed Weldon
