Fast Drying, Easily Peeled Coatings

10/14/2009 6:56 PM

I am looking for a product (like a paint or a coating) that can be peeled off and can also dry very fast.

Similar too a static membrane.

Thanks

More info required. Dip on, spray on, brush on, come on. Don't tell us what it is, tell us what it has to do. Are you making filters?

Paint booth coating. Spray, brush, roller application. Dries fairly fast and is pealable.

Air cure vinyl coating. Peels easily. I've used this stuff, it works. I'm sure there are others, too.

TC-527-PT Pink Peelable Mold Seal Compound, 1-pt. Cont. -

This sounds better to me. TC-527 is more of a PWB masking material.

Cheers!

What are you coating? If it's metal parts maybe the sort of coating used to protect cutting tools would work.

I think your application is for masking use for spray painting use or a similar line it looks.

You may try these Peelable or water soluble coatings.

1]POLYVINYL ALCOHOL SOLUTION mixed with Methyl Ethyl Ketone for quick drying.

2]Poly Vinyl Acetate paste with Methyl Ethyl Ketone

3]Plain Acrylic binder emulsion with solvents like spirit

The above stated synthetic polymers are readily available in the market and you can peel off after drying or wet out to remove.

Feed back awaited

If you are looking for Temporary Coating, contact with Spraylat Corporaration at Culver City. They sell a lot of that kind of coatings.
