Now, I'm not saying that engineers or technical types aren't capable of growing trees, nor am I suggesting that they don't know as much about plant pathology, horticulture or botany as anyone schooled in such disciplines, but what gave you the idea that you might find an answer to your question in this forum?

It's also 'fall' here in the US, and the leaves are starting to turn yellow. It's natural. You think that may be the case with your mango tree???

I'd pose the same question to the place I got the tree. In order to give any answer here much more info is required.

Location, soil type, planting technique, care and feeding, etc. Number of cats close by. We have a cat here, you know, maybe he's the problem.

Did he shoot the tree (or un shooted it?)

may be he thought a dead tree is better than the live one (useful for making cross bows)

First and foremost, where are you, and what is the weather there these last couple of weeks? Mango trees are native to the tropics and cannot withstand cold weather. Next, have you been watering it regularly? As can be surmised from its juicy fruits, mango trees require a large amount of water.

If you live somewhere above say ~24 degrees north latitude, then your young tree probably doesn't have much of a chance of making it past your autumn (you call it fall?) and winter. Mango trees prefer only two seasons in the year - a cool dry season and a hot rainy season. So, I don't think there's a lot you can do - apart from packing up a few things - including your tree, and moving down here to the tropics for a while (we have mango trees of every shape, size and variety). You know the old saying - "A change of weather might etc., etc.......... ".

Seriously though, I only wish more people were as caring as you toward our natural CO2 sinks. I do hope it survives - against all the odds.

Good luck and best wishes.
