A thirty-ought-six is a good place to start.

I takes pity on peoples who think that the "well" they reside in is their world...need of hour is to come out of that and see the world with broad view not narrow mind...this is possible if u know what technologies are available around u and also far away from you..!!!!!!!!!!

Why do believe corruption can be solved - "eradicated," in your words - by technology?

Technology? Surely you jest! Corruption is a moral/ethical problem.

And what do you mean by "eradication of corruption?" Do you propose to instill a corrupt person with ethics and morals somehow? Which ethics? Which morals? And how? By some kind of technological means? It's not like you're swapping engines in a car.

Your question is ludicrous, IMHO.

Sodium pentathol is a technology. So is lobotomies, castration, and high tech prisons.

Legal systems can be technologically enabled.

Who peed in your wheaties this morning?

It is like swapping out engines in a car. We just swapped out one big spender for another big spender in the white house, we just did it here in the states... what did we get, a sh*tload more spending and strongarm tactics on the insurance companies.

"Sodium pentathol is a technology. So is lobotomies, castration, and high tech prisons.

Absolutely! But the OP asked how technology can be used to eradicate corruption, not how to eradicate corrupt people. Eradicating corrupt people is easy and so historically commonplace that I doubt the OP had this in mind when posing his question. My impression is that he's addressing corruption itself.

Iget it. Its not about deterrence tools and elimination of corrupts, its about eliminating corruption.

You're right.

And besides, I ate scrambled eggs this morning. It was my ex who ate the wheaties.

What're you lookin' at? Do you think I did it?

Not invisible, not by a long shot. And not minimalist, either. I've been asked about my new "minimalist" avatars enough lately that I think I'll write up the details and stick 'em in my Bio.

That wasn't a misspelling, btw; 'avatars' is plural. <plot thickens>

OH! I forgot, we got the Peace prize!

Thanks for pointing that out.

Would ya mind sharing, exactly what it was that "we did" for that?

My brain seems to be somewhat uncooperative today...

The Prize is just one of those 'complimentary' kinda things the folks at Welcome Wagon give you when you're new to a neighborhood. I've gotten a few in my day, but about the only thing they're good for is a dinner-for-two at Moonie's Burgers in Cedar Park. Don't go trying to cash it in for the money, though, it's just a promotional thing.

Not that Moonie's makes bad burgers an' all. They're actually pretty good.

Note it says "also far away", that means that you will need a good scope.

I'd like to offer an apology to rakesh2801. You apparently caught a CR4 user on a bad day. Please don't let this discourage you from asking again!

------------------

Just last week we had (yet another) discussion thread about the lack of civility in responses to questions. And it seems we're back here again.

Irreverent or hostile answers to poorly-worded or poorly-thought-out questions serve no purpose. If we don't understand the meaning behind the question, I humbly suggest we politely say so and ask for clarification. If we just can't repress firing off a smug answer along with it to make ourselves feel superior, at least have the courtesy to understand and apologize when the asker gets angry.

Again, CR4 users' native language isn't always English and as such misunderstandings are common and should be accommodated.

We're all here to help each other. I think we can manage to do so without alienating each other in the process.
