I tried the search phrase "east ohio gas company explosion", getting almost a million hits. Several sites had photos. Various newspaper archives might be another promising source. I had never heard of this before, and the accounts were very interesting.

I don't personally have any photos of that, but I have seen some, both overall and a 1920s Seagrave sitting in a hole. I belong to the Western Reserve Fire Museum that is in Cleveland, and they undoubtedly have some. Where are you?

I think one of their past newsletters had some photos, and Paul Nelson may have put a program together on it. John McCown probably has photos too, since he is a collector of Cleveland area photos.

The various seb searches mentions may do fine for your needs, so try them first as they will be simplest.

For those who haven't heard of this, have you heard of the HUGE ammonium nitrate explosion in, I think, Texas City, TX. A whole ship load blew up, with horrible destruction and deaths.
