My client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Vertical Construction) who has a passion for coaching and mentoring people, excels at project management, and aspires to have a key management role in an A/E design firm.

Responsibilities:

• Manage department scheduling, utilization, workload, and ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain project schedules at all phases
• Manage and supervise 12 engineers and designers.
• Professionally confer and correspond with internal and external clients, agencies, and consultants regarding department activities
• Support inter-departmental coordination and cooperation
• Sustain quality of department construction documents via QA/QC Process
• Provide ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities for staff Professional development of staff.
• Maintain department moral, and consistently represent and communicate the overall company goals, vision, and mission.

Requirements:

• 8 years experience working in an A/E design firm with responsibilities for electrical system design for vertical construction.
• 2 years experience in supervisory/management role desired.
• Education: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field - Professional Licensure or Professional Certification: Very desirable
• Experience with security system design and voice/video/data systems preferable.
• Project Experience in Department of Defense and Educational sectors is desirable.
• Must have ability to interact successfully with all levels of staff, clients, and vendors.
• Must have strong team building skills and ability to plan, organize, and manage the Electrical Dept's project workload with successful and timely results.
• Must be proficient is Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project
