To calibrate an interface displacer type level transmitter,
Fill the displacer's chamber with the light liquid (less dense) adjust transmitter's zero output at this time (3psi or 4mA).
Drain chamber and fill it with the heavy liquid and adjust the transmitter's output to 100% (15 psi or 20mA)
If you are using a pneumatic or a "dumb" electronic transmitter zero and span are going to interact with each other, so the steps I just described need to be repeated to get the correct zero and span output values.
