Using the spent pickle liquor

03/03/2007 11:49 AM

I am trying to use the acid used in stainless steel pickling procedure. Due to high iron content in the tank, the acid becomes inactive and is thrown or treated with a base before throwing. Please suggest me some method of regenerating the acid or iron salt from the solution. Or any method by which I can optimise the economics of using the process either by some chemical\mechanical methods or using the spent acid to neutralize spent alkaline mixture of any other manufacturing process.
