Vinyl Acetate Monomer - Are Bronze, Gray Iron, Ni-Resist Acceptable?

08/30/2010 10:33 AM

I need to know if the following combinations are acceptable for constant immersion in a tank containing Vinyl Acetate Monomer (VAM):

Gray Iron Housing with CDA936 Modified SAE64 Bearing Bronze bushings.

Gray Iron Housing with Type D2 Ni-Resist bushings

Application is a "swing joint" installed at the bottom of a chemical storage tank to allow moverment of a floating suction "swingline" system.

Thanks in advance for your help.
