Process Engineering Manager – Michigan – Relocation Assistance – Direct Hire

This is a FT position!

• 3 Direct Reports while working closely with Product Design & Materials Functions and work with 9 manufacturing Plants
• Work in a 75K sq-ft R&D Facility - 15K sq-ft processing prototype area, 30K sq-ft Machine shop, 15K sq-ft processing laboratory!
• Capital investments are being made into its operations and R&D Functions to improve overall manufacturing performance. The competition does not staff a similar department!

Summary of Responsibilities:

Managing all aspects of the process manufacturing engineering and tooling engineering functions, as well as technological advances for process cost improvements and productivity gains. Assist the group to create and exploit a sustainable competitive advantage through the implementation of world class engineering principles in all products, services, processes, and management practices.

· Responsibility includes both Vinyl Extrusion and Blow Molding Processes.

· Process Engineering Activity Management

· Interface with Suppliers & Vendors

· Manufacturing Process and Equipment Optimization

· New Process Technology Evaluation and Implementation Manufacturing Group KOI Improvements (Vinyl and Molded)

· New Product Development – Product Integration into Manufacturing

· Extrusion Tooling Design and Manufacture

· Support of ISO Structure

· New Product process capability

· Direct overall technology advances in manufacturing processes in order to improve product quality and achieve productivity gains while focusing on improvements in First Pass Yield

· Configure and maintain coordination for engineering projects and activities serve as a mechanism to direct mutual priorities.

· Improvement in First Pass Yield, i.e. waste reduction. Material recycle processing capabilities (Cpk level),Coating and cap stock processes

Qualifications:

· 7 + Years Experience in Extrusion & Blow Molding Manufacturing Processes

· Education: Bachelor's or Masters in Engineering

· Strong Demonstration of Leadership & Management Experience

· Advanced statistics and experimental design with Polymer materials and processing strong experience with Engineering economics.
