I am just interested if this is what followed in industry or any other data hand book available for use.
I need to design a vane pump for a flow rate of 20 lpm and 10 meter head vane pump.
- First i would assume that the vane pump would be run at 1000 rpm.
- then i find out the volume per revolution by dividing 20 lpm by 1000 rpm.
- To that i add some allowances for internal leakage.
- Then i size the volume of pumping chamber to the above value i got by above calculations.
