Desktop Windows 7 - Black BG

Regards.

My grand children have a problem in desktop picture in Windows7 Home Edition.

It is black

Change the desktop BG picture but does not responce at all.

On shutdown or startup old BG picture & newly changed picture display for an instant but comes back to black.

I use WinXP which have a simple all that menues & settings like 98.

I think that only the update in ver 7 is only cosmatics made all new.

Any help please

I would start by doing a virus scan, Then move onto Ccleaner, use it to check and fix any registry errors.

Thanks.

I have done this all.

Today I changed the color. It worked but change of desktop background picture didn't work.

The box after 'save' changes to not including desktop color and BG picture. Neither it brought the new BG.

If Windows 7 thinks it is not genuine it will show a black background. Have you activated your installation?

It is a genuine windows.

The problem has been resolved by one of the friends of my grand-children.

I have never worked on Windows 7 as I have stated in my post.

I could only do colors change as mentioned later.

I could not have a chance to look into or ask the boy, but what grand child told me it is not control panel but in 'Accessories' settings.

Go to 'Accessories' > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center >

And work out to ---->
