Traction

plz describe the how the power transmitted in traction system & why we used two overhead line in traction which is not earth wire.

Usually there's only one O/H wire the return path being the rails.

Unless your referring to a trolley bus system.

there is only one line of 25kVA is used in traction system.

the other line was used near the railway platform to bisect the main supply from the train to avoid the traffic in railyways.

and the track is used as a neutral or earth.

I believe a two wire system was tried way back using 3 phase power. It may have been used on single phase to eliminate electrolysis of underground pipes.
