Where Can I Find Information on DK8 Wire Gauges?

I am working on a project to install equipment on an ATR42-500 twin turboprop. It is made in France and Italy and some of the files I've been given reference wire gauges in DK or DK8 as opposed to AWG. Is there somewhere I can find information on this standard, conversions, etc? Thanks.

How would you convert DK to sq. mm?

DK8 is 8mm2, etc.

Now, where is that spec? I'll have to look for it. Maybe one of the UK guys knows?

We don't use AWG. It's one of those weird American things! 8mm to me means 8mm, but I don't know where you could buy it. Either 6 or 10mm in the UK it would be a special order.

Thanks. I was hoping there was some sort of a spec that would list the different DK gauges and what their actual size (circular mils, mm2, etc) was.
