Head Calculation

Dear sir,

I have calculated friction loss in 800m long 80NB FRV pipe with flow of 40m3/hr having 1100kg/m3 density & viscosity 10cp.

The loss comes around 65m.

I am in doubt that it seems high please advise me is it correct.

Guide me to get accurated result.

i think it is correct:

Assumption: nominal diameter (ND) is confused with internal diameter (ID)internal , relative roughness=0.004; smooth pipe.

1/ case ND=3"=76.2 mm ***v=2.437m/s ***Re=20432 ***Moody factor=0.0335*** Result loss=106m.

2/case ND=3"1/2=88.9 mm ***v=1.79m/s ***Re=17513 ***Moody factor=0.034 *** Result loss=50m.
