Magnetic Meassurements on SS 321

Pipe: SS 321. 18" dia. 48mm Thickness.

Beveling: Grinding

Is it possible that the magnetic measurements to be increase after beveling (Machine) end of the pipe prior to welding?. (The machining process can induce magnetism at the bevels end in austenitic material).?
