The first time I went to Japan, I walked through the corner convenience store (oddly enough, a 7-11) looking at the different packages and cartons, and asking myself, "What the hell is this??". The lack of good english/japanese translation didn't help any. The chewing gum called "Black-Black" had me a little worried, so I shied away. I stuck to good ol' beef jerky (hanging right next to the squid jerky) and Ritz crackers. Go to www.engrish.com for a lot of hilariously bad translations on packaging, clothes, advertisements, etc.
