Sure, I would consider buying this if I could. More to the point, if I fit. While most NBA players would tower over me, I am 6 ft 2 in tall with long legs. So ergonomics is a concern. I suspect that despite the gyroscopic stabilization, this would require a motorcycle license to legally drive here. So then the question becomes would I buy this instead of a motorcycle?

I like the concept, and yes, would own one (given its final form, efficiency, cost, etc), but for me it might not fill a need.
I work from my home, therefore the concept of 'commuting' is not quite the same. Most of my local travel would be the quick trip to 'get something'. It would have to have some sort of carrying capacity. Nothing grand, but at least a bag of groceries or such.
For me, personally, a little truck would be perfect. Most of what I do as such is within 15 miles round trip, so all electric. Maybe, once this platform is commercialized it could be adapted in all sorts of ways for personal as well as commercial uses.
Kind regards ...
