Depends.

What does your contract/agreement/specification say? Are you buying or selling?

Are you curious about mechanical fit, materials compatibility?

What is your motivation?

Munawwar,

Where are you?

Where is your Project?

Does the Project have a BEDD (Basis for Engineering Design Development) document?

If your project does not have a BEDD document then does it have a Piping Design Engineering Specification?

What does the BEDD or Design Spec say about Flanges?

Who are you position, assignment or responsibility wise in the scheme of piping spec development or use?

I am fairly sure you are not a Piping Material Engineer. If you were you would not be asking this question.

If you are a piping designer then you should follow the Piping Material Line Class Specification.

So who are you and what are you trying to do?

Sure you can. You will then be meeting the DIN standard instead of the ASME standard. If you claim to be meeting the ASME standard by following the DIN standard though, that will be fraud. It depends on what your customer demands.

Then use the more restrictive parts of both. WP

You can check the cross refrences and if you find suitability then you can consider the two separate standards but in that case you have to specify the stardard for the particular piping element giving refrence of the cross standard. Are you still sure your clint will like this type of piping design.
