Selection of a Distribution Transformer

Dear Friends,

what are the points to be considered in selection of a Distribution Transformer

for the factory load

having connected load of 3000 KW,

expected maximum demand 2625 KVA and

aload factor of 1900 KVA

what do you mean by "aload factor" 1900 kVA. If you mean "load factor" it is always less than one.

I am sorry, it is average load, and yes load factor will be alway less, and idle load factor is 0.6, if i am not wrong

Do not worry about the load what it is but you need to follow the correct rule how to select transformer whether it is 1 kVA or 1000kVA. Here is a link for you, it is showing how to select a transformer
