Medium Voltage Off Circuit Isolator

04/18/2012 1:32 AM

I want to use a 3 phase 33 KV off circuit isolator between VCB & transformer. The isolator will have an integrated earthing switch connected to its outgoing side, so that the outgoing cable / busbar can be earthed when isolator is off. Is there any specific norm regarding knife contacts (main power) of the isolator being connected to I/C side or O/G side ?

There are two nos contacts in ioslator; one is fixed contact and other is moving contact. In general, as the knife is moving contact in the isolator ,naturally it is connected to the O/G circuit.

Thanks,

Manindra
