Development Engineer and Engine Expert/Senior Expert

to Wärtsilä Global Research and Development in Vaasa, Finland. Come and join us in our global Research and Development organization to develop cutting-edge technologies and components to Wärtsilä's gas fuelled engines. Responsibilities

- Research and development of technologies and components in respective expertise area
- Lead or participate in gas engine development projects
- Create solutions within gas engine technology to maintain Wärtsilä's leading position in gas engine technology
- Co-operation with suppliers and research facilities/universities

Requirements

For Development Engineer position:
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Know-how in gaseous fuels and hydraulics
- Gas engine knowhow, project management skills and fluency in English

For Engine Expert/Senior Expert position:
- MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowhow in advanced ignition technologies (spark, laser, corona etc.)
- Gas engine know-how, project management skills and fluency in English
- At least three years experience in engine technology development
