Cleaning Of Powder Detergent Tower

05/08/2012 6:58 AM

we have powder detegent tower which has a problem of accumulation of powder on side walls which have to be cleaned when changing whenever we want to change the product we use cleaning ring inside the tower .the tower diameter is 4.5 m but the rings doesn't clean well and we have to go inside the tower to maintaine it which is very risky procedure .

so i need an effecient way either to make the cleaning by a good cleaning device or by a good way to maitain our existing cleaning ring

Any number of ways:

  • Air blast from a pneumatic line and a nozzle close to it
  • Hit it on the outside by some sort of automatic remote hammering device
  • Teflon coating on the affected part
  • Reduce the moisture content of the powder
  • Fluidise the contents during discharge
  • Etc.

Does the ring include stiff brushes that press against the cylinder wall? If not, I'd fabricate a collar of brushes and attach this 'collar around the ring'. Perhaps that would clean up your detergent problem.

/Yeah, I know; I'm reverse-channeling an old Whisk commercial. Why is that useless bit of info is still stored in my noggin', yet sometimes I'll go blank on a person's name?
