Wrist Watch Heart Monitor Today; Tomorrow...?

05/08/2012 9:10 AM

The Dick Tracy wrist watch of years ago seemed far fetched at the time, but look what is now possible: http://www.eetimes.com/electronics-news/4372353/Plessey-reveals-EPIC-sensor-technology-to-create-a-heart-monitor-in-a-wristwatch?cid=NL_EmbeddedInternet&Ecosystem=embedded-internet-design

The sensor used is so sensitive it can detect people thru walls, due to interference with the natural voltage gradient of the earth.

So, let's take this a little further down the evolutionary path, and combine it with the research being done on deciphering brain waves.

Can an Orwellian future be that far away?

You may say I am a little paranoid, maybe so, but a little paranoia is healthy,or perhaps it is a echo of many years of being under constant surveillance; an after-image burned into my synapses without enough screen saver.

Read the article, and do your research on brainwave interpretation, and perhaps you too will join this non-exclusive club of nail biters.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you're putting 2+2 together and getting 666. What you're speculating is that somehow the government is going to use these technologies to read your thoughts at some distance?

To what end? The average man is just thinking about sex most of the time. And the average woman is busy trying to figure out what's wrong with the average man.

When I'm not thinking about sex, I'm thinking either about fishing, or some project around the house... none of which would be of any use to another human being...

I would wager peering into some people's minds would be far more disturbing than any horror movie, and other might make your average porno seem dull.

Your math is in error in this case.

It is not about religion, per se;It is about control.

Every war has always been about control of one sort or the other.

Combine nano technology, brain wave interpretation, remote activation of pain and pleasure centers and you have almost perfect control.

"They" don't care what you are thinking, as long as they can control what you are doing.

Would you volunteer to wear a mind reading device 24 hours a day for the rest of your life?
