How Do I Make This Out of AISI 1008 Steel?

06/01/2012 11:02 PM

Hi everyone,

I'd like some input on how to form these pieces out of AISI 1008 steel. They are intended to be handles on LPG cylinders. Measures are on milimeters.

AISI 1008 cold drawn steel is readily formable by standard methods as mentioned in #1. The rounded version might be possible to make by pressing a strip tangentially into an oiled cylindrical die.

Four-Slide machine should do the trick.
