Can you rephrase this question please. I am not automotive expert, but it seems not to make sense.

Thanks IS

He appears to be asking what is the best replacement for the 2-stroke engines...They have been banned in India and China due to air pollution since the 90's, and are currently under consideration around the world with bans in many countries slated to take effect in the near future...The obvious answer is 4-stroke engines which provide more torque and less pollution, or electric, if you can manage it...

Yes,Your understanding to my question is correct to some extent my question is what are all the features you want in a 2 stroke even now So that it can be used, obviously it should be less pollutant but can some body say other than this...

In most countries, two stroke engines have been replaced by four stroke engines for most applications. In the US for example, there are no road motorcycles of more than 50cc that us 2-stroke engines, and there are 50cc 4 strokes that out perform 50 cc two strokes. The advantage of the 2 stroke engine used to be light weight and simplicity. But now a two-stroke engine must be direct injection to be clean enough to sell in most locations. The injection system equalizes the price, removing a key 2 stroke advantage.

Engine design is hugely affected by emission requirements, so first you must gain a thorough understanding of how emissions are controlled before embarking on an engine modification program.

The quick answer is that 2 strokes are effectively dead. 4 stroke engines have replaced them even in tiny machines like weed wackers. In racing motorcycles, 2 strokes used to have a weight and power advantage, but no more.

For the older bikes 2 stroke engines were a winner. Less parts than a 4 stroke so much lighter and then the obvious one twice as many power strokes so getting on to twice as much power.

Apart from emissions the 2 stroke always struggled to get the exhaust gas out and the new petrol mix in. It was never as clean or quick as the 4 stroke.

The way forward really is to make a 4 stroke rev at twice the speed of a 2 stroke.

That way you stop polluting the place and you get your power back.

2 stroke were very peaky with the power unlike the 4 stroke which was a much broader power band.
