Use DM water to perform the hydrotest.

Was this part of the original specification?

you better use the DM water because DM h2o is Demineralized (DM) water is another name for deionized (DI) water. It is water from which the (mineral) ions have been removed. It's a type of purified water, which is water that has been filtered or treated in some way to improve it for consumption or other uses.Compare to raw water/ utility water

As above. It is the quality of the water that was used in the test that may determine contaminant levels in the equipment once it is being brought into service afterwards.

  • One wouldn't test equipment in a drinking water plant using sewage.

If you don't do what the Client wants, you will end up repeating it, Murphy, which costs you time. Do it once, and do it right.
