Hi kamal,

A Dead Weight Tester is required. Unless you have a lot of gauges to calibrate you are better off having your gauge supplier calibrate them

Best regards,

John

Good answer, although another calibrated gauge of higher accuracy could be used if traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology or the agency for your country/region. lt depends on the application and the required accuracy. Dead weight testing is also used to calibrate pressure transmitters.

If you know who manufactured the gauge, you should be able to find the calibration procedure on their web site.

Or,

  1. ASTM D5720 - 95(2009) Standard Practice for Static Calibration of ...
  1. ASTM E2744 - 10 Standard Test Method for Pressure Calibration of ...
  2. CALIBRATING PRESSURE GAUGES
