Hydrostatic Test of Manifold Piping.

Is it possible to test along with connecting ball and check valves on the lines?I suggested to my boss-project manager, that the valve should be install after hydro-test and he saids know.

What about testing the joint onto the valve and the valve itself?

The valves are all factory tested and the pipe flanges are to be bolted without the valves and tested before after assembly connection.

What? ........and he saids know?.

No problem to test wiht installed valves, only check the way of the check valve.

IMO, the entire pipeline, including all valves and other appurtenances along it, should be already installed and hydrostatically tested according to the specifications.

How else are you going to know if there is a leak-by in the system? Finding out after "Commissioning"? Not on any of my projects would you test with everything not installed and ready for the hydro-test!

I believe your boss-man needs to exercise some common sense, logic, and engineering knowledge before proceeding any further....
