The names and the filter medium.

Look it up in a dictionary.

  • They have different roles.
  • They are different colours.

Not all charcoal filters are cartridge filters, though some are made in a cartridge form.

But what about their trapping ability, is there any significant difference??

My point is one's provided both filters in series (cartridge followed by charcoal) but the other one commented that it should be vice versa. Does it make any difference?? The fluid is TEG.

Cartridge, or depth, filters are for particulate removal. Carbon filters are not.

I'd go cartridge, then charcoal.

a mineral filter removes heavy metals. a charcoal filter removes odor. odor removal should be the last stage in filtering.
