Impedance Tube

07/24/2012 7:26 AM

Hi

I want to know what is an impedance tube made of?

I want to make one, and I think it is better to build it with steel to have a heavier tube.

Is that allright?

thanks

I'd use aluminum.

The tube must not absorb any acoustic energy. It must be stiff.

Wall thickness depends on frequency, more or less.
