for the regulation of alternator we can use different methods in which one is mmf method or ampere turns method ,in that we are relating field current and voltage induced in the stator winding i.e. armature and we know that supply current is dc which is causing magnetic flux in the alternator .to overcome the armature reaction based on load condition field current may vary in magnitude.& my doubt is about we are drawing a phasor diagram between field current & terminal voltage.how we are relating dc field current with ac voltage ?
