How can I increase my fan speed without buring up the motor?

Some sort of gearing system.

The simplest of which would be a belt driven gear, but you would need to move the fan blades and manufacture another support shaft

Likely too expensive for your application thou.

CAUTION

A Ceiling fan will be a centrifugal fan, so the load on the motor will increase at the CUBE of the fan speed change. For example if you increase the fan speed by 25%, the motor loading will increase to 1.253, or 195%. So if you have a 1/4HP (186.5W) motor as is typical in many ceiling fans, the LOAD on that motor will become almost 1/2HP (364W) and the motor will burn up, or trip off line if you are lucky and the motor has thermal protectors built-in. But some do not, so the dumb animal fan motor will try to push that extra air until it dies / fries.

So how can you increase your fan speed? Buy a faster fan with a bigger motor designed to move more air.

i agree. shorter fan blades would defeat the purpose also. more efficent fan blades would'nt be a practical solution. there's no free ride.

the motor windings are specifically wound for three speeds and a certain power output

the obvious solution is to replace the fan with one that has a higher wattage rating and a higher cfm circulation factor.
