Depending on the operating system you have, it should be possible to open a web page then convert the view too HTML. The button will be somewhere up at top of screen on the 'edit' 'view' menu or whatever. Find a nicely brief page and toggle between views.

There are lots of ways to do what you describe. Possibly one of the best is to get your screen into two parts - one window with an html file open, and another with the results. Make sure to 'refresh' the view on what your tinkering with the code does). That's not a very clear explanation, but I'll try to take a screen-shot of such if you are still lost in a few weeks.

Many people here are expert at such stuff.

Let me tell you a short story that may help; Many years back, I knew nothing of such things. I am still in '101' as they call it. An acquaintance asked if I would edit a web page for him. He was very busy, but couldn't find the help. After about 5 minutes instruction I could see what he meant. The web page in question was clearly recycled code, and all I had to do was delete the junk code then insert the extra bits he needed. My point is that many people churn out flash looking web stuff without even understanding the HTML. The chap I did the task for clearly had little knowledge.

Look at examples and take it from there. I will fade out for a while on this. Others can tell you more than I. If you can toggle between what you see on screen and the HTML code you will learn.

To paraphrase a quote, 'As you are now, I once was. As I am now, you will be'.

Good luck. Learned friends on CR4 will give better answers - read them all and take the road that helps.
