Concept ver 2.6 to Unity Pro: Transition

09/24/2012 3:36 PM

Within our company we have a medium number of Quantum PLCs (perhaps 15 to 20) used at a small number of sites (8+) that were originally programmed using Concept software, upgraded over the years to version 2.6.

We are considering switching to Unity Pro (current version), but we will need to consider some factors such as: training costs, conversion issues, inadvertent downtime, etc.

Yes, we will ultimately convert. However, what have been some of the CR4 experiences in regards to this changeover. What should we keep in mind as we explore this potential minefield?

Nothing like jigging it for simulation, for familiarisation & training, prior to implementation.
