Corrosion

How Corrosion mostly Start from End or bend of Material or Structure.

For one thing, cutting and bending produce a rougher surface (minute pits and cracks), so that there is more contact area. Any oxide or other protective outer layers are also degraded. Residual stress in bends also accelerates corrosion.
