Electricity Consumption Usually Increases Due to the Below

02/16/2013 10:18 AM

1. Capacity of appliances which can be adjusted at maximum, result on high load factor, e.g air condition, fan, water heater, etc.

do you know what does it mean by high load factor? how do i reduce the cost at home by adjust to min. instead.

High load factor means it's on for a high proportion of the total time.

To reduce the cost, turn the control knob to a lower setting (usually counter-clockwise).

Turn off electrical appliances when not in use. The load factor on those would then be zero.

Set adjustable appliances to run less.

Ask your local utility to help. They have a very friendly field engineer.

Here he is, at work installing new service.

Making a strawberry daiquiri in a blender will draw less electric power than making a frozen margarita in the very same blender. Crushing ice cubes is a higher load factor than crushing fresh strawberries.

Teach your spouse and kids that setting the thermostat to 100 degf, or 40 degf, does not get the temperature where they want it any quicker - and good luck with that.

basicly that topicLINK ABOVE gives you some clues of your appartment thermal balance dynamics

shortly by changing the t° setting 1deg may result in (relativley)huge change in E consumption (notice the saw-tooth pattern (it's the K'O))

Insulation looks to be far better in the convection oven. Especially when you consider the airflow!
