HMBD for Super Critical Pressure Boiler and Turbine

05/22/2013 11:49 AM

I am looking for Heat Mass Balance Diagram of a very large Steam Turbine with Super Critical Boiler of Pressure 400 Kg/cm^2 and above.

I have searched in google and I am not getting the data which I am looking for.

I request CR4 MEMBERS to share their knowledge on this.

Thanks.

Foster Wheeler has many excellent technical papers regarding their boiler technology:

http://www.fwc.com/publications/tech_papers/files/TP_PC_07_01.pdf

There's plenty more from other vendors here, there's also a good source of info from the turbine manufacturers. Unfortunately the operating pressure doesn't tell me what power level you are looking for. Hope this helps.

Dear Mr.RAMConsult,

Thank you for your immediate reply. I will study and any doubt, I will inform you through CR4 PERSONAL MESSAGING or in this Post itself.

I find /TP PC O1, O4 and O7, which means a lot of topics are there and kindly post the main link, since some times, if I copy and paste, the link does not open.

Thanks, Once again.

Mr. DHAYANANDHAN.S,

Hire a company like Fluor, Bechtel, Worley Parsons, KBR, etc., and they will be more than happy to develop a Boiler and Turbine assembly.

These equipments are extremely critical in both temperature, pressure, speeds, materials to be used for someone to simply try to copy a system. Besides in a lot of cases you could be infringing in patents.

In India there are several companies like EIL who in consortium with the above mentioned companies would be more than happy to help you out, for a fee.

Again, please be careful, since high pressure boilers are extremely delicate and dangerous equipment unless properly designed.

Furthermore the heat and mass balance is specific to each unit, so it cannot be used as a generic go by.
