Researchers at Lehigh University have successfully tested a technique for reducing mercury emissions from flue gas and "save a 250-megawatt power unit as much as $2 million a year in mercury-control costs." For anyone who can't stand Coal burning plants, but, practically, still have to live with them, this is a welcome innovation for environmentalists. |
