Odebrecht Award for Sustainable Development Announces 2014 Finalists

08/21/2014 2:06 PM

Just curious if anyone is keeping up with these nominations. The third nomination in particularly has caught my eye. Wondering if anyone else had some opinions on this and the future of green energy companies like New Leaf Energy, Direct Energy etc.. utility providers that are making efforts to supply green energy by implementing "new" technologies.

The only thing that ever seems to be 'sustainable' is the support for misconceived energy/environment saving schemes.

Billions of dollars get spent, then the company folds and politically connected pseudo-businessmen walk away wealthier; and/or animals die as an indirect result of the 'scheme'; or the scheme turns out to cause more pollution than it saves...; etc.

What fish eats a big shark in a single bite as a snack?
