Wow, this is head loss through Pipe and fittings. K= f(L/D), how could this be in the biomed category.

Human physiology, our body functions and all of its associated mechanisms are very similar and can compared, analyze like any mechanical, electrical, or chemical systems that anyone can design or think of!

So if the given equation is taken as a hydraulic function, then it can also be applied to the circulatory system or to the hemodynamics in our body...

If that is the case, then it is also proper to be in the Biomed category!

You should look into CRANES TECHNICAL PUBLICATION NO. 410.

Crane Technical Paper No. 410 is an excellent publication and resource for the understanding the flow of fluid through valves, pipes and fittings.
