New Tool Tracks R&D Progress

Are government-funded R&D programs really paying off? To help get an answer to that question, the Obama Administration has announced a new tool for tracking U.S. progress in innovation. This web-based R&D dashboard, now in beta test, allows users to document the impacts of federal investments in research. Financial data can be sorted at the state, district, or institutional levels, along with references to publications and patents.
