Labs Take Aim at Contamination

Always wary of contamination, labs are becoming ever more watchful amid global concerns over Ebola and a much reported anthrax scare at a CDC facility. As this article notes, labs are embracing products like single-use micro-bioreactors to keep contamination at bay. One forecast pegs the growth rate of the single-use bioprocessing market at 38% annually over the next four years. Besides greater safety advantages, life cycle costs can also be reduced substantially for single-use bioreactors vs conventional technology.
